Homology and Alignment
Protein homologs of HLA-DQA1
Homologous proteins are those that are derived from a common ancestor, and may have evolved independently from one another in various species. Based on results obtained using Homologene, I found protein homologs of HLA-DQA1 in a few different species. The four species that I chose to highlight in this homology analysis are: chimpanzee, domestic dog, mouse, and rat.
